Vivienne Westwood is inspired by art and celebrates Francois Boucher’s ‘Daphnis and Chloe’ canvas for the fall / winter 2021-2022 collection. The painting is part of the Wallace Collection in London and has already been the protagonist of the brand’s collaboration with Asics for Gel-Lyte sneakers. It is part of a capsule that includes various garments with shirts, blouses, t-shirts, and the Johanna dress. Some are made of organic cotton, others of viscose of certified origin by the Forest Stewardship Council. The capsule also includes a padded nylon jacket made from recycled plastic bottles, sweatshirts and track pants with a reworked detail of Boucher’s painting.
