The Italian fashion house, born and raised in Milan, would be ready to change ownership
From the tricolor to the stars and stripes flag.
Versace, one of the most famous fashion houses of all time, would be ready to move to an American group.
The maison, founded in Milan in 1978 by the unforgettable Gianni Versace, is one of the most important Italian brands, among the last to have resisted the “charm” of abroad while maintaining its independence.
The novelty of the last few hours, however, is that the turning point would seem to have arrived.
The Corriere della Sera explains: Sources report that within a few hours (there are those who talk about an official communication on Tuesday, the day Donatella Versace called the employees), the sale of Versace could be announced. It would not be a French to buy, as it has been for many of our brands so far, but an American.
Two strong names in the race: Michael Kors, another great fashion brand, and Tiffany, the historical jewelry group. From that first show to the Permanent in Milan – it was March 1978 and Versace began to conquer Italy and the world – time passed and the Medusa could no longer be an exclusive pride of Italy.
