On the fireplace the signatures of great writers such as Montale and Mann
During their stay Thomas Mann, Eugenio Montale and Giuseppe Ungaretti made their signature on the wall above the fireplace: today Villa Mondadori passes to Donatella Versace, who for a sum of around five million euros bought “La Verbanella”, one of the most prestigious and famous villas of Lake Maggiore, in Meina.
The Villa was purchased by the Mondadori family in the 1920s and hosted personalities such as Walt Disney and George Simenon.
The 1400 square meter property, previously managed by Engel & Völkers Lake Maggiore, directly overlooks the lake and is surrounded by a large garden with swimming pool. Fifty rooms are distributed over the four floors, of which twenty are bedrooms and twelve bathrooms.
