Tom Ford hopes for a return of traditional fashion show

Tom Ford, the Texan stylist number one of the Council of Fashion Designer of America, hopes for a return of traditional fashion shows, as reported in an interview with Wwd. “Shows are becoming more and more moments for Instagram. But a movie does not have the same effect of a live work, and the same goes for fashion shows. The parade is always the best way to show clothes. Ford also talks about fashion strategies of Italian and French market: “In Italy – he explains – it is appropriate to separate womenswear from menswear, because men’s clothing is an important sector. It is a completely different sector from the female one: different buyers, different press. In America the male sector is not so developed, therefore organizing 2 annual shows combining men and women makes sense”.
