Kevin Mayer, number one of The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer services, will be the new CEO of TikTok, the video application owned by ByteDance Technology increasingly popular among young people, from 1 June. TikTok allows users to create short videos with special effects. The company has around 60,000 employees worldwide and has seen its popularity grow during the lockdown imposed by the health emergency. According to Bloomberg, interest from international investors today gives the TikTok parent company a valuation of about 100 billion dollars (about 91 billion euros).
