The Met pushes the accelerator on fashion. The Anna Wintour Costume Center, section of the famous New York fashion museum, will set up the exhibition ‘In pursuit of fashion: The Sandy Schreier Collection’.
The retrospective, scheduled from November 27 to May 17, 2020, will include about clothes, accessories and illustrations owned by Schreier, a well-known American fashion collector.
The set-up will include a 1908 Paul Poiret sketch to a hat made by Phillip Treacy in 2004. The new exhibition attests to the Met’s willingness to invest further in the field of fashion after the success of ‘Camp – Notes on fashion’, the current exhibition opened last May with the traditional gala organized by Anna Wintour attended by designers, celebrities and personalities from all over the world.
