Demna Gvasalia unveiled Balenciaga’s spring / summer 2022 collection at Paris Fashion week, amazing the guests and letting the models be photographed together with the guests in a surprise mix that upset the rules of the traditional catwalks. The images of the models alternated with those of fashion editors, influencers and celebrities such as Cardi B and Lewis Hamilton. Inside the theater, images of arrivals were projected, overturning the idea of the red carpet as an antechamber of a special event. The red carpet becomes the full-fledged event on which the collection, applauded by the guests in the hall, parades. At the end of the catwalk, always surprisingly, a special episode of the cult series ‘The Simpsons’ was projected on the screen.
