On the catwalk Irina, Bella, Doutzen and Candice wear rock and colorful outfits and accessories

“Posh pirates and aristo groupies” is the title of the spring summer 2020 show, staged in the courtyard of the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music decorated with small paisley press balloons. A stellar casting and a parade of Italian and international stars: on the catwalk were seen among others, Irina Shayk, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel and Bella Hadid. Front row: Amanda Lear, the Brazilian top Alessandra Ambrosio, Claudia Gerini, Levante, Irama, Cristiana Capotondi and Halima Aden.

Etro‘s spring summer 2020 is an imaginary rich in detail in which women have a look of adventurers, sophisticated and strong. The prints that have made the brand famous invade dresses, blouse and tailored suits and mix in delicate solid colors – especially beige and sky blue. Great attention to accessories: not only the bags, with the Pegaso Bag declined in different versions, but also sandals ground-tied to the slave, soft leather boots, maxi jewelry in the style of Seventy (silver worked and enamel stones), straps and sunglasses with large square and smoky lenses.

Just before the show the brand released the new version of the site and the first appointment of #EtroByYourName, a project designed to celebrate the cornerstones of its style. A men’s shirt identical to the GE01 model, the first created by Gimmo Etro in the late 1960s, now reissued in unisex version and with Pegasus embroidery, the historical symbol Etro. The shirt, available in five striped fabrics, is customizable with its own name.

At the same time, Etro has unveiled the new unreleased version of its ETRO.com site. The platform, totally renewed, aims to strengthen, through a digital transformation process, the omnichannel strategy undertaken by the company. The new ETRO.com, redesigned in an essential and user-friendly way, gives maximum visibility to the product that becomes the protagonist of a dynamic and engaging experience.

To celebrate this new digital reality, Etro launches the first #EtroByYourName project, with which the company intends to celebrate its enduring values and promote the classic as authentically timeless. The iconic GE01 men’s shirt, the first created by Gimmo Etro in the late 1960s, is re-edited in a unisex version and customizable exclusively. Made of Makò cotton, the wide-fit shirt with a button-down collar is marked by the Pegasus, Etro’s historical symbol, on the pocket. The GE01 is now available, in a limited edition in five iconic striped fabrics, and customizable under its own name.
