Stella McCartney signs an exclusive long-term partnership agreement with Thélios, a company specialized in the production of eyewear from the French luxury giant LVMH, to create the glasses of the English brand from the Spring-Summer 2021 season. The models will be available from November 2020. Bio-lenses composed of 39% castor oil will be introduced in the first collection, which allow a reduction of carbon emissions by 40% on the raw material. The frames will use an ecological version of bio-acetate derived from wood and cotton fibers, plant-based plasticizers and a biobased carbon content of 68%. For the first time, the Stella McCartney Kids collection will also feature the use of bio-acetate.
