New president for Smi-Sistema moda Italia, the textile-fashion trade association: this is Sergio Tamborini, whose appointment will be confirmed and made official at the next meeting of Sistema Moda Italia, scheduled for the end of September. Tamborini will hold the role of president of SMI for the four-year period 2021-2025, taking over the baton of Marino Vago, appointed head of the association in 2017. Graduated in Industrial Chemistry at the State University of Milan and specializing in Economics at SDA Bocconi, Tamborini is currently the CEO of Ratti, having held similar roles in the Marzotto Group for many years. In Marino Vago’s team he was deputy vice president with responsibility for Industrial Policy.
