Haute couture shows at Paris Fashion Week 2022, preparing us for a spring / summer to dream of. Focus on Giambattista Valli
A romantic feminine dream
On the first day of Paris Fashion Week 2022 dedicated to the Haute Couture catwalk in the evening, with a digital show, Giambattista Valli presented his collections. Official member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, who moved to Paris in the first decade of the new millennium, Valli, from his headquarters in a historic building on Rue Boissy d’Anglas, has chosen to tell his style visions for this edition of Paris Fashion Week through a film that he created instead of an in-person fashion show in which he combined his pre-autumn 2022 and spring 2022 haute couture collections, showing them in a single elegant and swirling runway. The romantic couture by Giambattista Valli has always given emotions and this time offers an almost princely vision of femininity with dresses that seem to be made of tulle, extremely fluffy. His is an instinctive story: “I wanted to open the wardrobe and show what was inside” and continues “I thought, I want to take the spectators’ hand and accompany them through all the floors of the maison, to show that it is of a haute couture dress or a t-shirt, we put in everything the same experience in the realization. “The collection shown ranges from couture dresses that Valli poetically calls” nervous “with eccentric and unpredictable volumes to the romanticism of his pre-collection garments more easy and sexy that draws on a pop and light Parisian glamor. A clear optimistic message for the seasons to come, hopefully with a much more controlled pandemic picture. A haute couture that skillfully tells the complex creative engineering of its experiments through industrial clothes alternating with artisanal ones. The romantic couture by Giambattista Valli will be part of the new Michele Franzese Moda selection, starting with SS22, which has chosen this brand to surprise young women ready to live a romantic dream.
