Prosecco doc rosè is about to become a reality, with the approval of the modification of the production specification by the Mipaaf National Wine Committee and the definitive publication. The expected annual production is between 15 and 20 million bottles of Prosecco doc rosé which will be positioned above the price range of the “normal” Prosecco doc because it can only be produced as Millesimato and will be the result of a blend of Glera grapes (Prosecco grapes) and Pinot noir.
