Four initiatives have been announced by the Milanese group led by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, aimed at strengthening the commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion within the company and in the fashion industry. In partnership with the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, in the fields of design, fashion, art, communication and business which is part of the State University of New York, the largest and most comprehensive higher education system in the United States, the Italian company will award a scholarship to the best American student who intends to pursue a career in fashion. The Generation Prada Internship program provides a paid internship with the opportunity to work in the field by joining the corporate and retail teams of the Prada group. The training module for young women developed in partnership with the UNFPA – United Nations Agency for Sexual and Reproductive Health, which will use fashion and design as an expression to promote gender equality, is more focused. Finally, a collaboration was established with Dorchester Industries, founded by Theaster Gates, for the creation of a three-year Design Lab.
