From Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 January Pitti Uomo returns, a reference event for men’s fashion and lifestyle
In the pavilions of the Fortezza da Basso in Florence hosting the fair, there will be 1,230 brands, of which 542 are foreign (44%), which will show the collections dedicated to the next winter on an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters.
The review that anticipates the new trends and trends in men’s fashion has an average of 36,000 visitors (over 25,000 buyers at the last winter edition, of which 9,200 buyers from abroad); Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, Holland, Spain, Turkey, France, China, Switzerland, Korea, United States, Russia, Belgium, Austria and Sweden the main foreign markets of reference of Pitti Uomo which in this edition will present a focus on the sections that research into menswear today and more forward-thinking areas decline.
These are projects that combine outdoor passion and fashion attitude, tell the new souls of the athletic-minded wardrobe and unveil the creativity of young global artisans.
Next to the new generation of talent from Northern Europe and the Far East, space to high-end streetstyle and cutting-edge design tips.

Pitti Uomo 2019, the installation by Gucci
On Tuesday 8th January, on the occasion of Pitti Uomo 95, Gucci will present the new Gucci Garden Period Room exhibit, inside the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia in Piazza della Signoria, which takes over from Bjork’s homage, inaugurated in June.
Again on this occasion new wall interventions occupy the areas of passage between the various floors of the Gucci Garden: the story of the creation of Jayde Fish and the imaginative phrases of Coco Capitán give way to a series of unpublished walls, made by two artists, able to involve the visitor and to talk with the windows that open onto Piazza della Signoria, establishing a contact between the transit spaces of the Gucci Garden and the swarming space of the square.
Moreover, in the Gucci Garden boutique, a selection of objects and clothing will be presented with images of an artist who for the first time collaborates with the Maison.
