Pitti Uomo restarts at Fortezza da Basso in Florence in attendance after two digital editions, until Friday 2 July hosting men’s and kidswear collections for spring / summer 2022. 338 men’s brands participate both in the Fortezza and on Pitti Connect; 57 brands only on the digital platform for a total of 395 subscriptions, of which 28% from abroad. The path within the hundredth edition of Pitti Uomo is divided into three macro areas: ‘Fantastic Classic’, where the evolution of the classic style is the protagonist, ‘Dynamic Attitude’, with a focus on the outdoors as a meeting point between sport and streetwear, ‘Superstyling’, the search for new stylistic canons that anticipate trends. In addition to the macro areas, the show also features independent exhibition spaces, where brands can express themselves and illustrate their collections. The South African designer Thebe Magugu will be the special guest and will present a preview of a special men’s collection of the eponymous brand, with an event inside the Fortezza. Agenzia Ice confirms the partnership with the Pitti Tutoring & Consulting management with the Young Italian Start Up Around The World project: a special area that enhances a series of made in Italy startups. A novelty is represented by ‘Pitti Studios’: a photo, video and storytelling content production service designed to enhance the brands’ proposals from a social and digital media cross-channel perspective, on Pitti Connect and on the platforms of the exhibitors themselves. In parallel to the physical show, Pitti Immagine is also back online with Pitti Connect which also presents a program of special projects and special events. A video installation in the Octagonal Room presents the exceptional international scouting work that the LVMH Prize carries out every year on the new generations of fashion designers.
