Paris is getting ready for menswear f/w 23 on the catwalk from next January

The new year opens with two major events dedicated to men’s fashion. The edition of Milano Menswear 23 from 13 to 17 January 2023 will in fact be followed by the French edition dedicated to men’s fashion: the Paris FW Menswear 23 from 17 to 22 January 2023. The French capital is preparing to welcome the catwalks of the autumn/winter 2023 collections -24 with as many as 81 international maisons in the schedule that will stage as many events organized between 48 fashion shows and 33 presentations. The Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine and the Fédération de la Haute couture et de la Mode have recently unveiled the provisional calendar (the official one will be published right at the beginning of next year in the week of January 2, 2023 on the FHCM platform) and at its inside we find top brands such as Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Dries Van Noten, Dior Homme, Loewe, Hermès and Saint Laurent. For the Saint Laurent maison, which has not presented in Paris since January 2016, it is definitely an important return, the back in for the men’s catwalks is also foreseen for Maison Margiela, White Mountaineering, Sacaï, Wales Bonner, Bode Botter, Ludovic De Saint Sernin while Berluti, Uniforme and Ziggy Chen are included in the presentation formula calendar. Among the absentees for this shift we have brands such as Celine (it is possibly a digital participation), Thom Browne (it is perhaps a digital participation) Agnès as well as others such as Cool TM, Reese Cooper, Rhude (it is perhaps a digital participation), Youths in Balaclava, Basscoutur, Oteyza, Jan Jan Van Essche, Craig Green (is in possibly a digital participation), Ernest W. Baker, Davi Paris, Gravalot and Alled Martinez. As anticipated, there is great anticipation for the return of the Saint Laurent man on the catwalks of the ville lumière. After the Marrakech show, the Kering maison makes its comeback to the menswear calendar after taking its menswear collections around the world, including Morocco, Italy, New Jersey, Malibu and California. Anthony Vaccarello, artistic director of the brand, will present the autumn/winter 23 men’s collection on the first day of the Paris FW Menswear 23 calendar, on January 17, 2023, in the evening at 21. Details on the venue of the show and other previews have not yet been disclosed notes but there is a lot of interest in this long-awaited comeback after the Marrakech menswear show last July. A singular thing is that the first day of the Parisian kermesse simultaneously coincides with the last day of Milano Menswear, a day in which Saint Laurent will always be present in Milan; How is this coincidence possible and how will it be handled? Digital comes to the rescue since on the last day in Milan Vaccarello will be present with a digital show. Following the provisional information of the men’s calendar released, the Paris FW Menswear 23 will open at 17.30 on 17 January 2023 with Wales Bonner. On 18 January there will be another return, that of Berluti, with a presentation that will last all day. It will then be the turn of Rick Owens and Louis Vuitton, at 12.30 and 2.30 pm on 19 January. The next day, January 20, it will also be Dior Homme’s turn at 2.30 pm, on the same day there will be the presentation of one of the surprises of this season, namely 032c, the clothing line of the Berlin cult magazine, designed by co-founder Maria Koch. Saturday 21 January there will be Hermès at 3 pm and always on the same day the designer Emily Bode, also a return to the calendar for the man from Paris, will present her show at 6.30 pm. On the last day to return after years of absence, there will also be Maison Margiela with a show at 8pm. Paris FW Menswear 23, as always, can be followed on the dedicated platform of the Fédération de la Haute couture et de la Mode, fhcm.paris. After the menswear calendar, it will then be the turn of the haute couture collections.
