From yesterday until 6 October, the French capital will unveil women’s proposals for spring / summer 2021. A very different fashion week if compared to the past, due to Covid-19. On the calendar there are 19 fashion shows and 20 physical presentations, to which 45 digital events are added. Among the absent fashion houses Celine, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçons and Off-White. As previously communicated, this year Saint Laurent will not take part in the usual sector events while Valentino has opted for the Milan fashion week. Among the absent also Sacai, Lacoste, Junya Watanabe and Rochas. The historic maison Hermès, Dior, Chanel, Balmain and Chloé are present and ‘live’. Louis Vuitton will parade on the top floor of La Samaritaine, a building owned by the LVMH group which will be presented to the public again next year after years of restoration. Among others, Kenzo, Isabel Marant, Rick Owens and Yohji Yamamoto have also chosen the physical shows. Many brands that have preferred the digital format including Balenciaga, Givenchy, Giambattista Valli and Maison Margiela.
