Online sales are growing worldwide, and more than even doubling in Europe. According to a report prepared by Astound Commerce, global online shopping grew 55% in mid-March compared to the previous year. The rise was driven by Europe, with a 129 percent growth. Two other studies by Emarsys and GoodData, which tracked 400 million transactions of luxury and fashion items online in over 120 countries, show that online revenue in the United States increased by 18% over a year ago over the last week, thanks to discounts for goods due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
