Auction house Phillips auctioned off the first timepiece of the Patek Philippe limited series Ref. 5711 / 1A-018 Nautilus, in stainless steel with a Tiffany Blue dial, for € 5.7 million. The proceeds will be donated to The Nature Conservancy, a global environmental organization based in Virginia. To celebrate 170 years of collaboration, Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co have created a limited series of 170 watches, each bearing the double mark of Tiffany at 6 o’clock and Patek Philippe at 12 o’clock. In 1851 the two companies had signed an agreement which made the New York jeweler the first official retail partner for Patek Philippe watches in the US.
