Starting from spring 2019 the new course of MMissoni, after the parent company Missoni decided to internalize the license, at the natural expiry of the contract with Valentino Fashion Group

Gilmar becomes a productive partner and several projects are underway, including the debut of e-commerce and the launch of a range of bags and small leather goods.  

Already in 2016 great maneuvers were hypothesized for the brand, which can count on a turnover of 50 million euros and on the presence in over 700 points of sale and for which at that time someone had even hypothesized a transition to Staff International .  

“Under the creative direction of Angela Missoni – we read in a note – MMissoni represents a strong point and an important element of potential development for the company of Sumirago, founded in 1953 by the association of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni”.  

Some objectives are focused on MMissoni: from a clearer differentiation in the style and positioning of the line to a more effective strategic coordination in communication activities, up to the definition of synergies with partners on international markets and the extension of the offer, starting from from the introduction of bags and small leather goods.  

On the distribution front, we aim to implement direct retail but also to activate an online sales site, growing in parallel in the wholesale channel and investing in promising areas such as the Far East.  

Gilmar is a productive partner “thanks to its solid structure, the excellent quality of the product and the know-how in the knitwear sector”.  

In May the new Milan spaces will be opened for showrooms and style offices, in via Amedei 8 (in the photo from the Instagram account of MMissoni, a proposal for the summer of 2018).
