The provisional women’s Fashion Week calendar for spring \ summer 2023 is ready from 20 to 26 September in Milan
Anniversaries, returns and beginnings
The National Chamber of Italian Fashion has just announced the fashion show calendar for the next Milan Fashion Week for women for spring \ summer 2023. The big event will take place from 20 to 26 September with well over 60 participating brands with a total of 67 fashion shows, 61 of which are physical and 6 shows in digital format. The formula is hybrid, but physical events clearly win. The fashion week will open with the eighth edition of the Milano Moda Graduate fashion show, the event committed to the enhancement of new talented students from the best Italian fashion schools. In a statement from the National Chamber of Fashion we read: “In the spirit of continuing to support the new generations of designers, Maison Valentino, together with Cnmi, will host on its Instagram channel, the live show of Act n ° 1, beneficiary of the Grant of the Camera Moda fashion trust this year, together with Cormio and Vitelli, also in our fashion shows calendar. Dolce & Gabbana will support the English designer Matty Bovan, making the project possible in its entirety, from the supply of fabrics and materials, to the creation of the collection, up to the debut on the Milanese catwalks ”. While at the end of the review on the evening of 25 September, at the Teatro Alla Scala, an important focus on sustainability will be held with the fifth edition of the Cnmi Sustainable fashion awards, the event dedicated to the awarding of those realities that have distinguished for their commitment to supporting, promoting and disseminating the culture of sustainability. This edition of Milan Fashion Week foresees the great return to the calendar of some big brands: Salvatore Ferragamo, Boss, Antonio Marras, Vivetta, Moncler and Preview, which will also celebrate their 70th and 30th anniversary. For the great beginnings, however, for the first time on the calendar there will be the physical fashion shows of: Bally, Stella Jean / Wamy and Matty Bovan supported by Dolce & Gabbana, Mmusomaxwell will make the debut among the digital shows. The support to the new generations of designers on the catwalk will also pass through the commitment of Maison Valentino, which together with CNMI, will promote on its Instagram channel, the live show of Act n ° 1, beneficiary of the Grant from the Camera Moda Fashion Trust, together in Cormio and Vitelli. Dolce & Gabbana will instead support, as mentioned above, the English designer Matty Bovan, taking care of the fabrics and materials, to the realization of the collection itself, up to the final debut on the catwalk, The city of Milan will be directly involved through some dedicated events including the Diesel show, open to the public with online registration, and the Preview show to be held in the Arena Civica in Parco Sempione, to celebrate the brand’s 30th anniversary.
