Marks & Spencer buys Jaeger

Retailer Marks & Spencer buys Jaeger, the British fashion brand which entered administration last November, as part of the Edinburgh Woolen Mill group. Richard Price, head of M&S clothing and home division. plans to complete the acquisition by the end of January. The purchase amount should be around 5 million pounds (about 5.5 million euros). M&S was only interested in the brand and the stock and not in Jaeger’s stores, so much so that the latter should now close permanently.
