The luxury group LVMH continues to invest in Italy. The latest purchase is a minority stake in the share package of Santa Croce sull’Arno (Florence) tanning company “Masoni Industria Conciaria SpA”, sold by company founder Fabrizio Masoni, to LVMH Métiers d’Art.”LVMH Métiers d’Art is committed to support and guarantee long-term investments at the Masoni SpA tannery, aiming to consolidate artisan creativity and innovation, entrepreneurial strength and international development”, as written in a joint press release. The agreement, in addition to investments in the area, provides for retention of current 60 employees – and also for further expansion of the workforce. Masoni founded his company in 2001: today it has a total area of 10,500 mq and a production of 600,000 mq (year 2018).
