London is the capital of international fashion with its fashion week of co-ed fall / winter 2022-23 collections scheduled until Tuesday 22 February, under the usual guidance of the British Fashion Council (Bfc) and sponsored by Clearpay.

The numbers

Many sacrifices, especially of the big names, few important names and many off-schedule shows, just like there are many emerging designers. On the program there are over 130 brands, 37 live fashion shows, 9 presentations, 5 appointments, 34 events and 66 digital initiatives. The format is therefore again a hybrid, between online and offline, but stylists and designers who bet on real life fashion shows are increasing at the trend level.

The names

Among those present are Vivienne Westwood, scheduled on Monday with a digital show, and other leading names in British fashion including Erdem, Simone Rocha, Richard Quinn and Roksanda, As for the emerging creatives made in the UK there are Nensi Dojaka, winner of the LVMH Prize 2021, and then Asai, Bethany Williams, Conner Ives, Feng Chen Wang, Yuhan Wang and Nicholas Daley, Poster Girl (loved by VIPs and stars of the caliber of Dua Lipa, Kylie Jenner and Chiara Ferragni).

Absent

Among the absent to mention Burberry (who had already given up on fashion week last September, preferring to experiment with new formats for the presentation of their collections), Victoria Beckham, Mulberry, Emilia Wickstead, Christopher Kane, Jw Anderson and Alexander McQueen are the other big names who will not walk the catwalk of the event.

Micam, Mipel, The One and Homi in March in Milan

Other appointments scheduled shortly for the world of fashion and luxury, after London fashion week, are Micam Milano (International Footwear Exhibition), Mipel (International Exhibition dedicated to Leather Goods and Fashion Accessories) and The One Milano (Salone dell ‘Haut-à-Porter), initially scheduled between 20 and 23 February and now with a new calendar repositioned from 13 to 15 March. Finally, there is the HOMI Fashion & Jewels Exhibition, an event dedicated to fashion jewelery and accessories, scheduled from 11 to 14 March always in the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center. Lineapelle has confirmed its dates from 22 to 24 February.
