Fifteen years after buying K-way, the BasicNet group (headquarter in Turin) organizes the first fashion show at Pitti Uomo of the historic brand born in France, known for nylon windbreakers. The event is scheduled on Thursday 8th of January at the Florence Chamber of Commerce. K-way will present its iconic models, while the other labels of the Italian group (Sebago, Superga and Kappa) will be present as always in a large space within the fair, with their collections for Autumn-Winter 2020/2021. K-Way’s success starts in the ‘70s and ‘80s, when 40 million pieces were sold in 25 years. The label, born in 1965, was then bought by Pirelli group in the early ‘90s and began to face strong competition eventually disappearing from the market. “When we bought it in 2004 – BasicNet underlines – there was nothing but name. Starting from scratch, we have transformed it into a premium brand with a recognizable style, whose collections are now highly appreciated “.
