Partnership between Jil Sander Lucie and Luke Meier for the creation of unisex shoes and sandals that blend Jil Sander’s concepts of luxury, comfort and design with the unmistakable Birkenstock silhouette. The result is a capsule of four models, three reinterpretations of classic Birkenstock models and a completely new model. Arizona, Milano and Berlin have been rethought with an exaggerated silhouette with a wider, higher rounded profile and larger soles. The color palette includes cream, olive and black. The straps are widened and elongated, in pure suede or raw-cut calfskin. The redesigned buckles are thinner, in satin nickel. The new Velan model is instead a reinvention of the Berlin closed-toe sandal, with a soft nappa strap to wrap around the ankles.
