Italian Exhibition Group and Bologna Fiere go towards aggregation, with the Emilia Romagna Region ready to take on a more important role in the future shareholding of the Combined Entity. The 2 companies had signed a non-binding agreement in October to build an integration within 7 months, but they have spent the last 2 arguing over the possible corporate structures of the maxi-fair: Bologna wants a merger by incorporation, Ieg (born in 2016 from the union of the Rimini and Vicenza fairs and listed since June 2019) wants an holding company.
