Daniel Lee lascia a sorpresa il timone creativo di Bottega Veneta, maison del gruppo Kering. Negli ultimi tre anni Lee ha favorito il rilancio stilistico del brand e un importante aumento delle vendite. L’annuncio della separazione di Lee da Bottega Veneta arriva poco prima della consegna dei Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards in cui lo stilista è stato nominato in due categorie: International women’s wear designer of the year e International men’s wear designer of the year. Tra una settimana Daniel Lee concorrerà per il titolo di designer of the year durante i Fashion Awards di Londra. In occasione dei Fashion awards 2019 Lee si è aggiudicato ben 4 riconoscimenti : Accessories designer of the year, British womenswear designer of the year, Brand of the year e Designer of the year.
