For some months now Ikea and Virgil Abloh have been growing suspense over their collaboration called Markerad
Available in all Ikea stores at the end of 2019, it will present the result of almost two years of work between the designer of Off-White and artistic director of the menswear line by Louis Vuitton and the Swedish label. To satisfy the fans of Virgil Abloh, Ikea and the designer will present a pop-up store during the Paris fashion week in which four exclusive carpets will be distributed exclusively for the occasion.
Located in the heart of the City of fashion and design, at 34 quai d’Austerlitz, in the 13th arrondissement, the temporary store will be called “Still Loading” and will be open Saturday, September 29 from 11 to 20, or two days after the show Off-White.
“We could not wait any longer. Many people (…) who asked incessantly when the collaboration would be available. We decided to please them by speeding things up, “said Henrik Most, Ikea’s Creative Director. For his part, Virgil Abloh said: “These rugs can be seen both for their functional appearance and for works of art to hang on the wall”.
