Despite the Covid-19 emergency, the French fashion houses clench their teeth without resorting to state aid. After Chanel, Hermès also declares that it will maintain the base salary of his 15,500 employees worldwide. Thanks to its economic and financial solidity, the fashion house will not resort to state aid provided by the various states, in particular to the French layoff system. The luxury brand will donate 20 million euros to the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris, in addition to the over 30 tons of sanitary hand cleaner produced in its factories and over 31 thousand masks.
