Unveiled the first bag designed by Hedi Slimane for Céline. Lady Gaga wears it in some shots taken in Paris.
The images of Gaga at the Louvre Museum with the black leather bag were published on Instagram by Slimane himself, while the singer posted shots on a terrace.
The designer took over the creativity of the LVMH brand in February replacing Phoebe Philo and will debut at the next Paris fashion week. No official comment came from Céline.Hedi Slimane
Lvmh has important commercial ambitions for Céline, which is close to an annual turnover of around one billion euros, but that Bernard Arnault, the group’s CEO, has declared that it wants to triple within four years.
The owner of Lvmh underlined, during the presentation of data for 2017, that: «The arrival of Slimane will bring Céline to duplicate or triple the turnover of this important brand within five years».
The designer, who turned 50 in July, revolutionized menswear in his years at the helm of Dior homme (among the flagship brands of the Lvmh galaxy) between 2000 and 2007.
The creator then remained behind the scenes of fashion after the end of his collaboration with Saint Laurent (which instead belongs to the Kering group) which lasted between 2012 and 2016.
