A bold seasonal statement
Gucci has dropped a GG-Jacquard Wool Sweater featuring a number of Christmas-inspired design elements just in time for the festive season.
The Alessandro Michele-designed sweater sports a busy mixture of hallmark Gucci motifs, knitted patterns and seasonal colors such as blue, red, gold and white. At the top, middle and ribbed sleeves, Gucci adds its interlocking GG pattern in red and gold weaved into solid blue wool.
Alongside the heavy branding are two traditionally-inspired sections made from horizontal and diagonal stripes, as well as small v-shaped designs, in a brighter red hue detailed with black and gold knitting. Rounding out this Winter staple is a “Gucci Band” segment in white with red lettering and detailing, as well as a gold band with a red and blue geometric pattern.
In true Christmas jumper tradition, the pattern wraps around the entirety of the sweater, and for a classic touch, Gucci has finished the shoulders with a trio of pearly-white buttons.
