Gucci launches Gucci sneaker garage, an extension of its app entirely dedicated to the maison’s sneakers and inspired by the image of the garage as a hotbed of talents and ideas, with a mix of stories, games and user-generated content and Gucci Virtual 25, the first virtual sneakers made by the creative director Alessandro Michele. These are “hyper-realistic sneakers” that refer to an aesthetic inspired by the 80s, which can be purchased exclusively online, allowing users to try on sneakers and converse with their digital avatar, in an augmented reality context and in virtual environments.
