Signed by Steven Meisel, the new Givenchy campaign for next fall reveals a passion (suspicious, let’s face it) for the joys of nightlife
Black and white, it is well known, is perfect for the night. An opinion certainly shared also by Steven Meisel that for the new campaign of Givenchy autumn-winter 2018-2019 has created an irresistible sequence of shots of which the night with its noisy parties, crowded dance floors and the most exclusive nightclubs and chic is the undisputed protagonist.
Our eye tries to look into the darkness, to possibly penetrate the darkness, to discover (and recognize) the faces of the various Karolin Wolter and Veronika Kunz that populate, sophisticated and super-glam like never before, the young and nocturnal parties of Givenchy.
In the foreground, men and women with strong personalities, the unmistakable style, the fatally modern look.
Leather pants with a contemptuously rock spirit, sashes that flutter with grace, immediately brazen and more demanding dresses where irregular edges and ruffes dominate the scene peremptorily, revealing the sinuous nudity of a shoulder or a long and very nervous leg.
