Giorgio Armani dresses the winners of the 2020 Oscars

Italian luxury brands dressed numerous Hollywood stars during the 92nd edition of the Academy Awards. One in particular has dressed two winning actresses: Giorgio Armani. Both Renée Zellweger, best lead actress for the film ‘Judy’, and Laura Dern, best supporting actress for ‘Marriage Story’, have chosen Armani Privé creations. The Italian fashion house has also created clothes for the nominated Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Kathy Bates, as well as Martin Scorsese and other stars. In the best actress category, actresses Cynthia Erivo and Saoirse Ronan chose Atelier Versace and Gucci respectively. Brad Pitt took home the Best Supporting Actor award for ‘Once upon a time in Hollywood’ in Brijuni. Salma Hayek, Spike Lee, Elton John and Quentin Tarantino also chose Gucci. Regina King opted for Atelier Versace. Valentino Sunrise Coigney, Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Wiigm, Maya Rudolph and Caitriona Balfe have turned to the maison. Keanu Reeves and Mindy Kaling were dressed in Dolce & Gabbana. Krysty Wilson-Cairns and America Ferrera wore Alberta Ferretti clothes. The actors Mahershala Ali and Alfie Allen were in Ermenegildo Zegna while Timothée Chalamet opted for Prada and Beanie Feldstein for Miu Miu. Numerous celebrities have opted for clothes made with eco-friendly materials or procedures such as Olivia Colman in Stella McCartney, Kaitlyn Dever and Léa Seydoux in Louis Vuitton. Some actresses have chosen to wear vintage clothes in the name of sustainability including Jane Fonda in Elie Saab and Margot Robbie and in Chanel Couture. Arianne Phillips worked with Jeremy Scott to revisit a Moschino dress sported years earlier, a similar procedure was implemented for the creation of Gucci worn by Saoirse Ronan
