Gcds invests in China and opens 3 directly managed boutiques in Beijing (110 square meters in the Central Business District) and Shanghai, with two stores in Xuhui District and Pudong New District.

The brand founded by the brothers Giuliano and Giordano Calza and which belongs to the private equity fund Made in Italy Fund, is already present with single-brand stores in Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Xi’an. A reproduction of shark teeth stands out in both Beijing and Shanghai. A few days ago Alexandre Alliot was appointed Worldwide sales director of Gcds, Lorenzo Greco Head of merchandising.The brand inaugurated last December a 60 square meter pop-up store in Via Sant’Andrea, in the heart of the Milanese Quadrilatero.


Gcds also presented its first spring / summer 2022 childrenswear collection in recent days, created with Altana Società benefit. The lines are GCDS mini for the age group from 0 to 3 years characterized by some items taken from the main collections in order to create the same products for both adults and children.

The creative director Giuliano Calza was inspired by freedom and lightness creating a colorful, fresh and easily identifiable collection. The dominant fabric is cotton, with representative elements of the brand such as the logo and designs including the cherry, the lucky cat and animals inserted in the form of prints, embroidery or crochet patches. The collection includes jersey sweatshirts and pants, ‘college’ inspired pieces with patchwork prints, bandanas and a selection of beachwear.
