High fashion has not yet established precisely how the presentation of the collections originally scheduled in Paris from 5 to 9 July will be reorganized. However, two maisons have already made it known that due to the Covid-19 emergency they will postpone their shows until next January. They are Jean Paul Gaultier and Balenciaga. Gaultier then postpones the collection created using a creative co-director for the first time. The new formula will feature Sacai’s Chitose Abe. The couture debut of Demna Gvasalia, creative director of Balenciaga, will also be staged in 2021. The latest couture proposals from the brand that belongs to the Kering group date back to 52 years ago when the founder Cristóbal Balenciaga closed the fashion house.
