Gaia Trussardi announced today that she would be leaving her role after five years at the head of collections for her family’s business

Named creative director of the Trussardi group in March 2013 as successor to Umit Benan Sahin, Gaia Trussardi was passed the torch of the family business.

After taking her first steps as creative director with a menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2014 composed of mostly leather pieces, over the next five years yhe granddaughter of Dante Trussardi worked with the house’s signature leather and contributed to the group’s international development.

Today, this fourth-generation Trussardi announced that she would be leaving her role to devote herself to personal projects, following in the footsteps of her older sister Beatrice, who, in 2016, sold 25% of her share of the company to their brother, Tomaso.
