Milano Moda Donna Fall / Winter 2019/2020 will take place from 19 to 25 February and will feature 60 shows, 85 presentations including 4 by appointment, 33 events, 173 collections

 

For the first time on the calendar the fashion shows by Marco Rambaldi, a young Italian designer, by Marios, a brand born from the creative genius of Mayo Loizou and Leszek Chmielewsk, supported by CNMI; and Alexandra Moura, Portuguese stylist originally from Lisbon. They return in the calendar of Milan Moda Donna Angel Chen, Bottega Veneta with the debut of Daniel Lee and Gucci.

CO-ED will march Antonio Marras, Atsushi Nakashima, Bottega Veneta, Byblos, GCDS, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Missoni, Moncler, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo. Thanks to the support of CNMI, Chika Kisada and Ultrachic will parade. Thanks to the support of CNMI and CNMI Fashion Trust, they are added to the Act n. 1 and Marco Rambaldi.

They present for the first time the Albagia, Alanui, Aquazzura, Flapper, Gentryportofino, Giaquinto, Harunobumurata, Laura Aparicio, Manuel Ritz, Martinacella, MM6 Maison Margiela, My Choice, Officina del Poggio, Saldarini Cashmere Flakes by Marco Rambaldi and Ujoh brands , Vgrass Studio.

Another novelty, thanks to the support of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, will be the presentation of Gilberto Calzolari, winner of the “Franca Sozzani GCC Award for Best Emerging Designer” during the last edition of the Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italy. CNMI and CNMI Fashion Trust will also support the presentation of Tiziano Guardini, winner of the “Franca Sozzani GCC Award” in 2017.

Milano Moda Donna will be inaugurated on February 19th with a day dedicated to events, to open Fashion Week the special event of United Colors of Benetton with the artistic direction of Jean-Charles de Castlebajac. To conclude this edition “A Special Night to celebrate young Talent & to look to the Future” an exclusive event organized by the City of Milan, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and S.Pellegrino, which will be an opportunity to celebrate young talents present in the calendar, some young chefs and the important anniversary of the 120th anniversary of S.Pellegrino.

Thanks to the memorandum of understanding between the Municipality of Milan and CNMI, the Sala Cariatidi of Palazzo Reale will once again be one of the locations of Milano Moda Donna together with Spazio Cavallerizze, an integral part of the Leonardo da Vinci National Science and Technology Museum. Thanks to a collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, another of Fashion Week’s locations will be Palazzo Giureconsulti, which will host a multi-purpose space dedicated to fashion shows and presentations.

The Spazio Cavallerizze will again host, in addition to a fashion showroom, the Milano Moda Donna Fashion Hub, which becomes a space dedicated to creativity and brings together: the Fashion Hub Market; a section dedicated to 8 designers from Hungary selected together with the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency; and one dedicated to 7 emerging young people from Xi’an International Fashion Town.

The location will host the VIP lounge dedicated to the sector operators and will be the site of talks: Luca Finotti about fashion film and art direction (Thursday 21 February at 6.00 pm) Open to the public, Maria Luisa Frisa will present the book “ITALIANA. Italy seen by fashion 1971-2001 “(Friday, February 22 at 6:00 pm Open to the public), finally a workshop held by Instagram, CNMI’s partner, dedicated to fashion school students (Saturday, February 23rd, by invitation) .

The Fashion Hub will be inaugurated with an opening event on February 20 from 16:00 to 20:00. On Sunday 24 February a cocktail will be organized by CNMI in collaboration with the Camera Buyer, during which a special prize will be awarded to a winner selected by the buyers among the designers present.
It reaches the eighth edition of Fashion Hub Market, the CNMI project in support of young talents that this year will present the collections of 12 Italian and international designers: 16 R Firenze, Andrea Mondin, Angelia Ami, Ara Lumiere, Chakshyn, Dhruv Kapoor, Federico China, Kartikeya, Moon Choi, Moon J, Retropose, Rowen Rose.

At the Fashion Hub Market will also be present the 3 winners of the International Woolmark Prize 2018/2019, a project created by The Woolmark Company in 1953 to celebrate emerging talents in the international fashion scene and which shows, year after year, the beauty and versatility of Australian Merino wool. The finalists of the award have had the task of telling, through a more contemporary approach, the use of Merino wool and of enhancing through their creations the innumerable qualities of this natural, renewable and biodegradable fiber.

The collaboration between the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and HFDA (Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency) continues, which, on the occasion of Milano Moda Donna, is pleased to announce and launch the project “BUDAPEST SELECT – PRESENTATION OF HUNGARIAN DESIGNERS” to support and promote development Hungarian fashion, from training to creation, sales, marketing and communication.

For the duration of the fashion week, the Hungarian brands Abodi, Artist, Celeni, Cukovy, Elysian, Je Suis Belle, Tomcsanyi, Zsigmond Dora menswear, involved in the mentoring program curated by CNMI, will have the opportunity to exhibit their creations to the inside the Fashion Hub organized in the Cavallerizze Area, in an entirely dedicated area.

With this edition of Milano Moda Donna, the collaboration between CNMI and Xi’an International Fashion Town is also born with the aim of supporting talented young designers from China. The 7 selected who will present their collections are: Alexstorm, F / FFFFFF, Lanneret, Mukzin, Scale 79 Studio, Vmajor, Zynggati. Designers will have the opportunity to have visibility, create opportunities for marketing, networking and business with industry professionals. A dedicated area will be made available to them within the Spazio Cavallerizze for the presentation of the collections and the fashion showroom in Via Olona will host the collective show of Alexstorm and F / FFFFFF on 21 February.

The collaboration between CNMI and DHL also continues. On the occasion of Milano Moda Donna, DHL decided to launch an initiative, also thanks to partnerships with some brands including Vetements, which will be unveiled during the fashion week on the Instagram profiles of some fashion influencers as well as on that of @dhlexpressitaly and in one of the CNMI fashion shows.

On the occasion of Milano Moda Donna CNMI presents “Welcome to Milan”, a fashion film directed by The Blink Fish. A group of models accompanied by a tour guide discover the iconic places of the city, which are revealed in a new look a few days from the fashion week. Beauty and imagination spread throughout the city. The film stars the collections of: Act n.1, Arthur Arbesser, Gabriele Colangelo, GCDS, Giannico, Lucio Vanotti, Marco de Vincenzo, Marco Rambaldi, MSGM, Paula Cademartori, Sara Battaglia, Stella Jean, Tiziano Guardini and Vièn.

Even in February, the “Fashion Week Insider’s Guide” tells the news of the fashion week, the unpublished places and unmissable appointments in Milan, the cover was created by Jacopo Rosati. The guide will also be downloadable on cameramoda.it. The Milan Fashion Week can also be followed live on cameramoda.it, streaming of fashion shows, videos and photo galleries of the collections will also be available on the?
