Un docufilm about Roberto Capucci

“We wanted to get Capucci out of his Olympus, from its inaccessibility – explains the director -, which characterized him especially after his decision to leave the Chamber of Fashion in 1980, and to reject the logic of commercial fashion. Capucci has never been an entrepreneur, but an artist, as evidenced by his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, the city where he was born in 1930. ”

The film, from the elegant direction, is a journey in the dreams of Capucci, marked by the desire to make art, more than fashion.
For this reason, after leaving the Chamber of Fashion, he decided to present his clothes with a personal calendar, exposing them once a year in an exhibition set up in museums all over the world.

Today the clothes are heritage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage: “For this reason we did not organize a fashion show, it would have been too complicated and expensive – Rosati continues -. We have searched and used the films of the Istituto Luce concerning the “exhibitions” of Capucci clothes in museums in Berlin, Tokyo, Paris, London”
