Fashion companies around the world make a virtue of necessity and introduce the production of masks for the Coronavirus emergency. Lvmh will supply 10 million masks in France in the next few days, as result of an agreement with a Chinese supplier, and then will reach 40 million pieces. Kering will supply 3 million masks to the French health system by importing products from China. The manufactures of the Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga fashion houses have activated the production of the masks while protecting the health of their employees and to supply hospitals and other facilities. Gucci is about to donate over a million masks to Regione Toscana; Other “supporters” of the fight against Covid 19 are Ermanno Scervino, Tuscan brand Drome and the fast fashion group Inditex (which includes the labels Zara, Massimo Dutti and Oysho) for the Spanish hospitals where the total lockdown has just begun; H&M and in the United States Christian Siriano and Brandon Maxwell.
