The report ‘LuxCo 2030: A vision of sustainable luxury’, published by Bain & Company and Positive Luxury, presents the characteristics of sustainable luxury in 2030. Five elements considered strategic: brand determination, growth unrelated to volumes, a supply chain completely transparent and traceable, a real impact and a final line of the report driven by sustainability. The report presents the possibility of making profits through the use and reuse of the same garment. According to forecasts, the resale of luxury goods could increase the profit margin of a brand by 40% in 2030. The role of fashion influencers who should become ‘think-fluencers’ would also change: they are no longer committed to promoting a specific product among their followers, but committed to acting as a link between companies and consumers, able to also report feedback from their audience to partner brands based on their sustainability values.
