Among the nominees for the recognition of the British fashion council stand out Marco Gobbetti of Burberry and Marco Bizzarri of Gucci among the managers as well as the creatives Maria Grazia Chiuri, Alessandro Michele and Pierpaolo Piccioli

These are just some of the candidates for the 2018 Fashion Awards, organized by the Bfc-British fashion council in partnership with Swarovski, which each year give recognition to creativity and innovation in fashion, rewarding companies and personalities who have distinguished themselves in the sector.
The nominations were announced by President Stephanie Phair and the CEO of the British institution, Caroline Rush, together with Nadja Swarovski, a member of the board of the Austrian glassware company. There are ten categories of awards and each of them has five candidates in the competition. Further awards will be awarded during the evening, which will be held on Monday 10 December at the Royal Albert hall in the presence of 4 thousand guests.
In the Accessories designer of the year category are the names of Alessandro Michele (Gucci), Demna Gvasalia (Balenciaga), Jonathan Anderson (Loewe), Maria Grazia Chiuri (Dior) and Miuccia Prada (Prada), while among the candidates Brand of the year there are Balenciaga, Burberry, Gucci, Off-White and Prada.
Among the creatives, for the British designer of the year menswear award, Craig Green is competing for its namesake brand, Jonathan Anderson for JW Anderson, Kim Jones for Dior homme, Martine Rose for Martine Rose and Riccardo Tisci with Burberry.
Candidates for the same womenswear category are Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, Jonathan Anderson with JW Anderson, Roksanda Ilincic for Roksanda, Simone Rocha with Simone Rocha and Victoria Beckham for her label, which this year celebrated its 10th anniversary .
The nominees for the Business leader category are Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO of Versace and among the protagonists of the recent merger with Michael Kors in Capri holdings, José Neves of Farfetch, the CEO of Gucci and Burberry, Marco Bizzarri and Marco Gobbetti, and Michael Burke, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.
For the Designer of the year award, Pierpaolo Picciolidi Valentino and Virgil Abloh of Louis Vuitton and Off-White, together with the already named Alessandro Michele, Clare Waight Keller and Kim Jones. And again, for the category of the year, Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, Winnie Harlow, Adut Akech and Adwoa Aboah.
