The advance of videos compared to photos on social media continues. Users watch nearly a billion videos every day, and Pinterest now has nearly 500 million people. In the last quarter of 2020 there was a 50% increase in content creators, with peaks of 103% for the women’s fashion section. Initially popular mostly with women, Pinterest also recorded a year-over-year growth of 4% among the Z Generation and the male audience. It is precisely the youngest who have brought out another social network whose DNA is exclusively linked to video content. The short films of Tik Tok have in fact highlighted a generation of creators who often do not exceed the age of majority.
