As part of Pitti Uomo 94, Ermanno Scervino inaugurated the new Florence boutique with an exclusive cocktail between the press and local authorities

The store, located in the historic center, is located in the historic nineteenth-century designed by the architect Riccardo Mazzanti and whose ground floor had already hosted another prestigious icon of tailoring: Neuber.

Renovated and re-adapted by Ermanno Scervino and his team of architects respecting obligations and conservation constraints, the new boutique has four large windows and two entrances, one from Via degli Strozzi, the other viadei Pescioni. It is spread over two levels, 150 square meters on the ground floor and 150 square meters on the ground floor, according to an exclusive concept that combines tradition and modernity. The flooring of the large surfaces is made of industrial cement.

The same finish in cement is taken up on the walls from which inlaid and laminated gold frames emerge. To connect the two floors, an innovative reinforced concrete staircase has been created from the faded red glass and illuminated by LED. Particular attention has been given to the maintenance of the original furnishings: wooden furniture with stucco decorations and late nineteenth-century details finish maintaining the elegant and luxurious atmosphere.

“This of Florence is an opening that I really care about. This flagship, in my city, will welcome all my values, the Made in Florence that I transmit with my collections, which is not lost but protected and handed down to future generations. But I also care a lot for personal reasons: this is a historical shop, in front of which, as a child, I passed by, fascinated by the windows, the finishes, the building itself. The fact that now that store has my name on the sign is a childhood dream that comes true, and fills me with pride, “said Ermanno Scervino during the press conference.
