Paris closes the first men’s digital fashion week focusing on unprecedented artistic collaborations and entertainment content. The S / S 2021 collections were presented through shared videos both on the official website of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and on the online and social channels of the maisons. Pending the physical catwalk of Louis Vuitton, scheduled for August 6 in Shanghai, creative director Virgil Abloh has created an animated clip with some cartoons entitled ‘The adventures of Zoooom with friends’. In the same vein, Mihara Yasuhiro has included animated characters similar to the Muppets in his video. A tricot bear accompanied the Doublet paper while KidSuper Studios paraded his proposals on a doll catwalk. Kim Jones, at the creative helm of Dior’s menswear, did tandem with the painter Amoako Boafo while creative director Kris Van Assche drew inspiration from Berluti’s works by the ceramist Brian Rochefort for some prints. Thom Browne has chosen to set up a real musical performance by relying on the voice of the American singer-songwriter Moses Sumney, the absolute protagonist of the video broadcast on the last day.
