“Born in Canada, produced in Milan, based in London”, the Dsquared2 brand is the result of a beautiful story that sums up the logo
Born of a large family, the Canadian twins Dean and Dan Catenacci are placed, due to lack of resources, in several host families. Merging like twins, they suffer all their childhood from this separation and they promise, on the day they meet, to never leave each other again.
So, graduated in a fashion school, they founded together, in 1994, their label which meant D square and reduced their surname to “Caten”.
Dsquared2 was originally a men’s fashion brand inspired by the culture of twins grown up not far from the beautiful forests of Canada.
There is always a lumberjack in their contemporary, manly and comfortable style. Paradoxically, it is their work on Madonna’s stage costumes for the music video Do not tell me that makes them successful.
Today, Dean and Dan are heads of an empire whose flagship is undoubtedly the Ceresio 7 complex in Milan.
A place dedicated to an inclusive experience that includes showroom, restaurant, gym and spa, where almost everything is broken, twinning requires, diptych and adorned with works of the favorite of creative artists such as Basquiat and Warhol.
On the ground floor of the Aïshti complex designed by David Adjaye in Antelias, facing the sea, at the entrance of the Aïshti Foundation, Dsquared2 recently presented the new World Tour rock capsule collection for men and women, designed specifically for retailers brand name.
The event organized by singer Peter Chouchani has brought together many guests: the opportunity to present a preview of the collection on the theme of red and black punk rock.
In another two weeks, you can discover the next summer’s collection as the Rock World Tour, always within what is, in effect, a rock’n’roll paradise according to Dsquared2.
