Luxury invests in verbal communication through podcasts. Dior launches ‘Dior Talks – Feminist Art’ a few days ago, conversations of 30 minutes that explore the role of the female figure. The first talk features Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of the Dior women’s collections. The brand of the giant Lvmh is only the latest in a series of labels that believed in the podcast format. Already in 2017, Chanel had launched ‘3.55’, created in conjunction with the closure of the historic Colette concept store and ‘Chanel at the Opera’, a conversation between choreographers, actors and dancers. ‘The Gucci podcast’ includes interviews with collaborators of the creative director of the brand Alessandro Michele. Through ‘The memory … with John Galliano’, Maison Margiela tells the listener the stylistic lines of the collections of the brand owned by Otb. ‘Dream it real’, conducted by the writer Heben Nigatu, runs weekly and sees alternating faces close to the Coach brand such as Selena Gomez and Michael B. Jordan. Examples include ‘Chloé Radio’ and ‘Faubourg of dreams’, the last one full of exclusive interviews with employees working in the Hermès headquarters.
