Milan is getting ready for men’s fashion. From January 11 to January 14, the classic men’s fashion week event will take place, which this year will include 27 fashion shows

Among absolute debuts (United Standard, Magliano, Bed JW Ford, all supported by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion), there will also be great returns (John Richmond) and welcome confirmations in that of Milan, starting, not surprisingly, from the parade of Ermenegildo Zegna.

Instead, an event signed by Gucci will close: “Motus presents MDLSX with Silvia Calderoni”, directed by Daniela Nicolò and Enrico Casagrande.

In the middle, a series of events with important brands, many of which have opted for the co-ed catwalk, which combines both male and female. From Dsquared2 to Frankie Morello, through Isabel Benenato, M1992, Marcelo Burlon County of Milan and Neil Barrett.

«The calendar responds to the challenges of global and fluid fashion»
«Milan is central to the fashion week scene, both as a space for expression of creativity and as the hub of the business. With its 800 showrooms representing 3000 brands, it is the largest fair in our sector “, says Carlo Capasa, president of CNMI. «The calendar responds to the challenges that the globalized and fluid dimension of fashion puts us: many new brands supported by CNMI, an ample space for streetwear collections and numerous events that add coolness to Fashion Week».

The social component
These and the other shows on the calendar can also be watched live on the renewed site of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion, as well as on the related social networks Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. In the latter case, through the possibility of the Stories, CNMI has entrusted to six special ambassadors the control of the profile: from the Australian influencer Chris Burt Allan to the Spanish model, passing through the very Italian – albeit based in London – Carlo Sestini .

Will the absence of Armani and Moschino weigh on the official calendar of the presentations?
In fact, while The king experiments with the co-ed collection in February during Milano Moda Donna, Jeremy Scott and Moschino have decided to present their project to Cinecittà in honor of Federico Fellini.

The four days of the show, however, will not be affected by their absence, given the tight schedule between events and shows.

After Ermenegildo Zegna, expected with his autumn / winter 2019-20 collection on January 11th at 8pm, it will be the next day of Jimmy Choo, Brunello Cucinelli, Marni and Versace.

The Prada fashion show, however, is scheduled for 13 to 18, while close Emporio Armani at 12 and Fendi at 14.

Finally, the cultural events that revolve around the calendar should be pointed out, such as the exhibitions: Picasso Metamorfosi, Carlo Carrà, Eva Marisaldi, exceptional transport, Milan and the cinema, Margherita Sarfatti, Who is afraid of drawing. Works on paper of the ‘900 Italian from the collection Ramo, Corrente 1938.
