In 2021, e-commerce will exceed 50% of total retail sales in China. According to a new report from eMarketer, the Asian country will be the first to reach this milestone, with 52% of shopping going online this year, up from almost 45% in 2020. In South Korea, the second largest country by incidence e-commerce on sales, online will reach 30% of transactions, in the United States 15 percent. The average among Western European economies is 13 percent.
